summertime

everything is hotness now. the air is dense, it is difficult to breathe. everything is ending and shriveling under the hot sun. it is so hot. i can almost imagine everyone here, their brains liquifying in their skulls and seeping out slowly. words becoming more disjointed, collapsing suspended and lost somewhere in the air. and me, eyes closed with my tongue out waiting for the fan to evaporate my speech into colder places.

  1. I am waiting for our weather to catch up to such a state. When the mercury rockets up to 100 degrees fahrenheit (or more...you know, 114)it's all we can do to maintain our sanity. So we drink cold beer and loll about on the carpet, sweating, talking about the weather. Airconditioning. Water parks.

  2. Did you know the crime rate (including particularly, the violent ones) goes through the roof when the temperature exceds what it is supposed to be in the summer?
Liquid brains, let me get my straw.
I really like that piece, once again, a field I feel like you never adventured into before, but it seems like you've been exercising it for ever.

  3. I can definitely identify... I haven't been outdoors today and yet, I have been constantly thirsty...

I wonder if that might explain what happened today? The heat and stress melted my brain? :P
